Ready, Set, Eat! - Where Green Isn't a Marketing Gimmick

Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Ready, Set, Eat!, we believe caring for the environment should simply be part of doing business the right way.

Our sustainable practices aren’t a marketing strategy or a way to set ourselves apart from other personal chef services — they’re just part of who we are. We know many of our clients value environmentally conscious choices, and we believe transparency matters. That’s why we’re happy to share some of the ways we work to reduce waste and make thoughtful decisions every day.

How We Do Our Part

  • Reusable shopping totes are used for grocery trips, helping save more than 200 plastic bags or 120 paper bags every month.

  • We recycle all eligible glass, metal, paper, and plastic materials used during service. We also participate in Ridwell, allowing us to recycle and repurpose even more household items. Compost separation is available upon request.

  • Clients may request organic and free-range ingredients whenever possible.

  • We proudly support local and regional businesses, including New Seasons, Trader Joe’s, Bob’s Red Mill, Whole Foods, and other specialty markets.

  • Meals are packaged using reusable and recyclable containers. We’re also happy to use client-provided containers to further reduce packaging waste.

  • Every meal is prepared from scratch, using fresh ingredients and no preservatives.

  • Giving back to our community is important to us. We regularly donate services to local schools and nonprofit organizations for fundraising events. Organizations we’ve supported include:

    • Hayhurst Elementary School

    • Tualatin High School

    • Westside Christian School

    • Sherwood High School

    • Hopkins Elementary

    • CityTeam Ministries

    • Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

We’re proud to serve our clients in a way that’s thoughtful, responsible, and community-minded — one meal at a time.
